Connect Search Console and Mentioned takes the searches where you already rank on Google’s first page, asks them to ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, and shows which ones never name you, and which competitors they name instead.
Sample data
Every row is one of your own Search Console queries: its Google position, its monthly impressions, which assistants named you, and who they named instead. The table below is a sample.
| Query | Impr./mo | AI names you | AI names instead | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| best crm for small sales team | #3 | 4,210 | None of the three | HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce |
| crm google sheets import | #2 | 2,980 | None of the three | HubSpot, Zoho CRM |
| simple crm for startups | #5 | 2,140 | Claude | Pipedrive, HubSpot |
| crm with pipeline forecasting | #4 | 1,760 | None of the three | Salesforce, HubSpot |
Each query also lands on a chart of Google rank against AI visibility, in four parts: Defend (page one, and named), AI carries you (named, but past page one), The AI gap (page one, never named) and Invisible (neither). The full answers sit under every row.
Read-only. Mentioned reads your queries from the last 90 days and keeps the ones where your average position is on Google’s first page. Searches for your own brand are counted and left out: someone typing your name is already looking for you.
Your top non-brand queries are ticked for you. Untick any you’d rather keep private. When you press send, the text of each ticked query goes to ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, exactly as people typed it into Google. Your clicks, impressions and positions are never sent to them.
The report shows which queries no assistant names you on, the impressions behind them, and the competitor named most often instead. Pick five and they become the questions of a tracked keyword, asked the same way every week on Claude and Gemini, so you’ll see the week an assistant starts naming you.
It uses your plan’s check allowance: every 5 queries asked count as one check. A 10-query report uses 2 checks. You see how many a run will use, and how many you have left, before you press send. See pricing for each plan’s allowance.
The text of the queries you tick, and nothing else: no clicks, impressions, positions or site address, and no query you left unticked. Each query is sent on its own, as written, with no hint about which brand is being checked.
You, and the members of the workspace you ran it in. It is never on a public link. You can delete a report at any time, and disconnecting Google deletes every report you ran. More in the privacy policy.
The same way every check on Mentioned is scored: your brand name has to appear in the answer as a word of its own, so spacing, accents and punctuation don’t break a match and a brand called “Rally” doesn’t match “generally”. The competitors listed are the brands the answer put in its list, taken from the text, never added. The full method.
It is one draw: ask again tomorrow and an assistant may answer differently. The report shows you where to look. Tracking the queries, with the same questions every week, is what tells you whether a gap is real and whether your fix closed it.
