Last updated July 2026. Plain-language terms for a small, free tool.
Mentioned is a free tool that asks an AI assistant a set of buyer questions and reports whether a given brand is mentioned in the answers. By using it, you agree to these terms.
The free tier is limited to 5 checks per day per visitor, enforced via a hashed IP address and a Cloudflare Turnstile verification step. Don't attempt to circumvent these limits (automated scraping, spoofing, rotating IPs to exceed the cap, etc.) — every check costs real API spend, and the limits exist to keep the tool available and free for everyone.
Don't submit brand or category text that is abusive, illegal, or intended to manipulate or attack the underlying AI provider (prompt injection, attempts to extract system prompts, and similar are not permitted).
Mentioned reports, as accurately as we can, whether an AI assistant's answer contained your brand name — a real substring match against the actual response returned by the provider at the time you ran the check. AI model outputs are inherently variable: the same question can get a different answer minutes later, and a substring match can occasionally mis-detect (for example, a brand name that's also a common word). Treat results as a directional signal, not a certified audit.
We do not guarantee any particular score, ranking, or outcome, and we do not accept liability for business decisions made based on a check result.
Running a check creates a shareable link (mentioned.at/r/<id>) showing that result. Anyone with the link can view it. Don't use this feature to publish misleading or defamatory claims about a competitor's results.
Mentioned is provided "as is," free of charge, with no uptime guarantee. We may change, limit, or discontinue the service, or introduce a paid plan for expanded usage (see pricing), at any time.
We may update these terms as the product changes — for example, when accounts or billing launch. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
