Mentioned is operated by Pickleland LLC, 21427 Martin Lane, Pflugerville, TX 78660, United States (“we”, “us”). These terms are an agreement between you and Pickleland LLC.
Mentioned asks AI assistants the questions a buyer would ask, records which companies their answers recommend, and shows you where you are missing and what to fix. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to these terms and to how we handle data, described in the privacy policy.
Running a check needs a free account. You can sign in with an email and password, with Google, or with a passkey, and you can add two-factor authentication. Keep your sign-in methods to yourself: you are responsible for what happens under your account, including anything done with an API token you create, an app you connect, or by a teammate you invite to a workspace you own.
Use an email address you control. One person per account; to work with colleagues, invite them to a workspace instead of sharing a login.
The free plan includes 3 checks on our API key, counted for the lifetime of the account rather than per day, and a small number of tracked queries that we run weekly on our key. After that you can keep using the tool for free by saving your own provider API key. What each plan includes is listed on the pricing page, and the app enforces those limits.
Paid plans are monthly subscriptions in US dollars. Payment is handled by Stripe; your card details go to Stripe, not to us. A subscription renews each month until you cancel it. When you move between paid plans, Stripe prorates the difference. You can change your card, see invoices or cancel at any time from Settings, through Stripe's billing portal, which shows when your paid access ends. Paying buys allowance, models and features. It never buys a better score.
We may change prices or plan limits. A change to a paid plan's price applies from your next billing period after we tell you about it, never to a period you have already paid for.
Every check spends real API budget, so limits keep the tool available for everyone. Besides your plan's allowance, a hashed IP address and a Cloudflare Turnstile check enforce a short-term burst limit, and the service as a whole has a daily cap. Don't try to get around any of these: no automated scraping, spoofed or rotating IP addresses, extra accounts to reset an allowance, or using the API or a connected app to do what the limits forbid.
Don't submit brand, category or question text that is abusive or illegal, or that is meant to manipulate or attack an AI provider (prompt injection, attempts to extract system prompts, and similar).
If you add your own provider API key, checks that use it run under your account with that provider, under its terms, and that provider bills you for them. A key saved in Settings is also used for keywords you set to run daily. Connecting Google Analytics and Search Console, or saving a Bing Webmaster key, is optional and read-only. The privacy policy explains exactly what we store and how to remove it.
If you use Mentioned for a business and the GDPR, the UK GDPR or Swiss data protection law applies to the personal data in your workspaces, our Data Processing Agreement forms part of these terms and applies automatically, with nothing to sign. It includes the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers to the United States. The companies that process personal data for us are listed on our sub-processors page. On plans that include shared workspaces, the workspace owner invites members and can remove them. Members can see and work with the workspace's tracked keywords, and runs on our key count against the owner's allowance. If the owner deletes their account, their workspaces are deleted and members lose access to them.
You can connect Claude or another MCP client to your account with an API token or by approving it. A connected app acts for you: it can read your account's data and, when you ask it to, re-run a tracked keyword or add one, which uses your allowance exactly as if you had done it in the app. You are responsible for the apps you connect and what you ask them to do. Data an app reads is handled by that app and its AI provider under your agreement with them. Revoke a token or disconnect an app at any time from Settings.
The free tools fetch public pages, robots.txt and llms.txt files from addresses you enter. Only check sites you are allowed to check, and don't use the tools to probe private networks, overload a site or get around our limits.
Mentioned reports, as accurately as we can, whether an AI assistant's answer recommends your company, based on the actual response the provider returned when the check ran. AI answers vary: the same question can get a different answer minutes later, and matching a name in text can occasionally go wrong (for example, a brand name that is also a common word). The fixes we suggest are general guidance, not a promise of results. Treat everything here as a directional signal, not a certified audit.
We do not guarantee any particular score, recommendation, ranking or outcome, and we do not accept liability for business decisions made based on a result.
Running a check creates a shareable link (mentioned.at/r/<id>) showing that result. Anyone with the link can view it. Don't use it to publish misleading or defamatory claims about a competitor.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. A paid plan is cancelled with Stripe first, and then your account and its data are deleted as the privacy policy describes. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, for example by abusing the limits above or attacking the service.
We delete accounts nobody has used for 2 years, after emailing the account 30 days before, as the privacy policy describes. Using the account before that date keeps it.
Mentioned is provided “as is”, with no uptime guarantee. We may change, limit or discontinue features of the service at any time. If we discontinue a paid plan, we will stop renewing it rather than charge you for a period we cannot provide.
We may update these terms as the product changes. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
